Benicar, Benicar HCT, Azor and Tribenzor are medications used to treat high blood pressure and hypertension. Benicar was approved by the FDA in 2002, however in 2013 they issued a warning about serious intestinal side effects known as sprue-like enteropathy. These side effects are symptomatic of celiac disease and include colitis, chronic diarrhea, weight loss, nausea, vomiting and dehydration. The severity of the injury can lead to hospitalization.

If you or a loved one have taken Benicar, Benicar HCT, Azor or Tribenzor and received medical treatment for intestinal problems, call the number on the top of this page.
